Will you choose her honor or her health?
You are a laboratory scientist who works at ABC Lab Test. You have a friend who requested your laboratory to do a full blood test since she got pregnant a few weeks ago and have discovered that your friend has HIV positive. A few days before this result will be delivered to your friend, you contacted your friend's husband and requested him to do a full blood test as well. You discovered that her husband is HIV negative. On the day when the results came out, your friend was not shocked about the result that she has AIDS and requests you to not tell her husband about it. She explained that the reason she has got AIDS was because the real father of the baby had AIDS as well. She felt regret that she cheated on her husband and does not want to lose her family and decided to not let her husband know; therefore, she will not take any treatment towards her AIDS problem. As a laboratory scientist, you knew that if she has AIDS and is pregnant it would be very dangerous for her and will most likely be fatal for both her baby and herself. However, if you tell this to her husband, it is highly likely her husband will have a divorce with her. This is because in her husband's culture if her women slept with another man then they are consider to have committed a sin and will be unwanted. What should you do?
It is proposed that you should not tell her husband that she has AIDS.
