Who cares?
You are a care giver who supports stroke patients to stay in their own homes. You have a client you have recently picked up who is rather short tempered. This client asks you to roll a joint for them one day as it is the only thing that helps with his pain. It is against company policy to do such things and you tell him so. they plead with you to do it. You know there is no other care givers willing to care for this person, and if you leave, they will not have had all the allotted hours of care for that day. Do you continue to attempt to give care, while they are getting increasingly aggitated, or do you leave?
It is proposed that client should be made aware of the difficult postition that they have put the care giver in.
