PPE 2015 Sem 2: What is ethics?

PPE 2015 Sem 2: What is ethics?

What is ethics??

Some of you may have studied ethics before, while this may be a totally new subject area for others. Some of you may also have some preconceived ideas about what ethics might be about.

I'm interested in what you think about ethics before and after the course. There are no 'correct' answers and you will not be judged on the responses you give, so please answer this survey openly, writing as much explanation as you can.

As soon as you submit your response you can see what your fellow students think. Your response is also stored on the Values Exchange so you can review your initial ideas as your learning progresses.

I'd strongly encourage you to use your own name while using the Values Exchange however you can also use a pseudonym if you prefer (this option can be found within the demographics page under My Profile).

If you want to use a pseudonym you should exit this survey and make this change before proceeding. You can change your username at anytime through the semester. The overwhelming feedback from previous students is that using your own name is very rewarding and empowering and helps students to take ownership of their ideas.

A fundamental part of the Values Exchange is transparency. Therefore most activities completed will be able to be accessed by other students who have also completed that same task. During the semester the ability to 'see' the thinking of others will provide you with unique opportunities to learn about yourself, about your peers, about your profession and the way we all make decisions.

You can exit and return to this survey, submitting once it is completed. If you have any questions about this survey, please email Amanda: [email protected]
